From the Director

Welcome to the Henrico County Public Library System. It's an exciting time to visit one of our eleven locations either in person or online. Did you know that nearly two million visits were made to one of our libraries, over four million items were checked out, and over 1.7 million connections to our free WiFi service?

As you can see, we are a very popular destination. No wonder we have been honored with over 30 National Association of Counties Awards for library services.

Presently, the County is served by five area libraries - Fairfield, Libbie Mill, Tuckahoe, Twin Hickory, and Varina; four branch libraries - Gayton, Glen Allen, North Park, and Sandston; as well as two specialized libraries -- the Municipal Government and Law Library and the Mobile Library Service.

We offer over 600 public use computers, as well as a website full of information. Whether at home or in our branches, we encourage you to try our easy to use online catalog, download an eBook, read a digital magazine, or learn about any of our free programs – all online.

We invite you to visit any of our libraries in person, or use one of our online services, such as AskHCPL. Henrico County Public Library prides itself on serving you, your family, and your neighbors well.
