Where can I find information on different types of work/occupations/careers? What career is right for me?
Find a New Career Guide, Career Transition Tools. Virginia Education Wizard helps you choose a career, get the info you need to pursue a career, enroll in one of Virginia’s community colleges, pay for college, transfer to a 4-year college or univeristy, and get answers to your questions about your future.Try one of the Library’s full-text subscription databases for free at any of our locations or at home with your Library card. Once recommended resource that can help you explore careers is:

Online practice tests for refining your job skills. NOTE: You MUST login using your library card number and password. Read these instructions.

As mentioned above, HCPL subscribes to the Learning Express Library, which provides test preparation materials and interactive practice exams that will help people improve their scores on academic, civil service, military, and professional licensing and certification exams. You may use it for free at any HCPL location or from home with your Library card.

Henrico County Public Library offers free computer classes in different branch libraries. Walk into any branch library for information on schedules, locations, and how to register for the classes, or visit the website to register online. More questions? Ask a Librarian
