Get your library account ready.

You'll use your HCPL library card to connect your device to our network, and to pay for your prints.

  • First, if you have never logged in to an HCPL public computer, do so once to confirm your PIN. You can log out again right away.
  • Next, add money to your library account to pay for the prints you expect to make. Prints are $.10 per page for black & white prints, or $1.00 per page for color (where available). You can add money to your account at your library’s Account Payment Machine (APM) or at the Check-out desk.

Troubleshooting

I’m not sure what my account PIN is, or my PIN isn’t working. Library staff can help you retrieve or reset your account PIN. Ask for help at the Reference desk.

I don’t see my document in the Print Release queue. Documents can sometimes take up to five minutes to appear at the Print Release Station—check again in a few minutes. Also, be sure you select “Wireless Printer” when you print from your device.

I don’t have enough money on my account to pay for my prints. You can add money for printing at your library’s Account Payment Machine (APM) or at the Check-out desk. Your documents remain available at the Print Release Station for 24 hours after printing from your app. Try releasing your documents again after you have added money.

I see options in my wireless printing app for “Guest Sign In” or “Guest User Option.” Can I use those? HCPL does not currently support guest printing. You must have a valid HCPL account to sign in and print.

I’m still having trouble with wireless printing, or I have another question. Library staff are here for you! Ask for help at the Reference desk.
