Your Teen Librarians suggest:
- American Born Chinese, by Gene Luan Yang. If we tell you, "it's all about what it feels like to be an outsider," you probably won't try it. Pick it up for the funny parts about the Monkey King.
- Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, by Frank Miller. Best Batman story ever.
- Bone, by Jeff Smith. Fantastic epic - adventure.
- Plain Janes, by Cecil Castellucci. Girls named Jane form an art "gang."
- Persepolis, by Marjane Satrapi, Iranian preteen memoir.
- Watchmen, by Alan Moore. Superheroes fall from grace.
