Thank you for making All Henrico Reads 2014 a success!
Watch for an announcement soon of our 2015 featured title and author.
Our Featured Title
Guests on Earth is an engaging historical novel narrated by Evalina Toussaint, who is just thirteen when she is admitted to Highland Hospital, a mental hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. The year is 1936 and Evalina finds herself in the company of some notable fellow patients, including Zelda Fitzgerald, estranged wife of F. Scott, who takes the young piano prodigy under her wing. Ms. Smith shines a light on a complex subject that has strong relevance for today.
Our libraries have lots of opportunities to discuss Guests on Earth and other books by All Henrico Reads featured author Lee Smith, who will visit on April 2. We hope you will join us!
