Summer is officially here, and so is this year’s Summer Reading Challenge! Celebrate both by attending HCPL’s festival of fandoms—Fandomonium — on Saturday, June 24, 1-5PM at Fairfield Library. We hope you’ll join us for an afternoon full of drop-in activities, workshops, cosplay, games, and more!
Whether you’re interested in Jedi Training, Dungeons and Dragons crafts, our trading card exchange, or participating in a Disney Trivia showdown, Fandomonium will offer something for everyone and every fandom. You can also:
- Learn All About Comic Arts and VCU’s extensive and impressive comic collection.
- Play Among Us in our Digital Media Lab.
- Record a BookTok to share your love of books.
- Make your own zine.
- Watch some anime.
- Grab a picture in front of our green screen with family and friends.
- Wear your fandom loud and proud and enter our costume contest for a chance to win a prize.
- Head to our outside patio to add to the Fandom chalk walk and find additional activities for all ages.
Plus, we’ll be handing out door prizes throughout the afternoon that you won’t want to miss!
And if you haven’t already, don’t forget to sign up for our Summer Reading Challenge for a chance to win some more exciting prizes. Staff are happy to help you register or provide reading recommendations related to your favorite fandom.
