Summer Reading Challenge 2024: Adventure Begins at Your Library

It’s official: the HCPL Summer Reading Challenge starts this Saturday, June 1. With plenty of programs, prizes, and fun for everyone, let your summer adventures begin at the library! Read on to learn more about this year’s challenge.

Starting June 1, individuals and families can sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge through Henrico Library’s Beanstack page. Earn points and prizes throughout the summer by logging your reading and learning activities online, through the free Beanstack app, or on a paper log from your library.

  • Earn a pencil, bookmark, and reading log just for signing up!
  • Earn a progress and finishing prize by reaching your challenge’s midpoint goal by July 1 and final goal by August 1. Stay tuned to our Summer Reading page for points and prize details!
  • Log books and activities beyond your challenge’s final goal to earn additional chances for this year’s grand prize drawing:
    • Apple iPad (10.2-inch, Wi-Fi 64GB)
    • Canon EOS Rebel T100 Digital SLR Camera
    • Nintendo Switch (OLED Mario Red Edition with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate)

Plus, visit your branch to learn about additional prize drawings happening at your library throughout the summer!

Summer Reading is sponsored by the Friends of Henrico County Public Library. Get updates on the challenge by signing up for our newsletter, visiting the library website, or following us on InstagramFacebook, and X (Twitter)
