Digital Media Lab
Try new tools, make great things!
Digital Media Labs (DML) offer resources to help our community create and learn while experimenting with new technologies. You will find our Digital Media Labs at the Fairfield, Libbie Mill, Tuckahoe, Twin Hickory and Varina Area Libraries.
Labs are available for self-serve use by intermediate and advanced users. Basic information about the DML resources can be provided by library staff, while classes are available for more in-depth instruction.
One Button Recording Studio

This dedicated audio and video recording studio for podcast production is located on the first floor of the Fairfield Area Library, next to the Digital Media Lab.

Maker's Lab

The Maker’s Lab at the Varina Area Library is a creative space where community members can explore, create, and connect through monthly Pop-Up Maker Programs and Make & Mingle Hours.

Screen or Projector
Each DML space is equipped to display digital media on a large surface. The availability of TV screen or projector differs by location.

VHS to Digital Converter
Use the converter at your own risk. Henrico County and Henrico County Public Library are not responsible for potential damage to the videotapes.
Digitizing copyrighted material is not allowed.

- Not compatible with miniDV, Hi8, Digital 8, and 8mm film
